BIOGRAPHY

Writer. Editor. Storyteller.

Elie El Choufany's journey to storytelling began with a VHS tape, and a dream.

Armed with a B.A. in Film Studies from Beirut and an M.A. in Screenwriting from the prestigious London Film School, Elie wasted no time in blazing a trail through the entertainment industry.

In 2016, he broke onto the scene with his hit TV series 'Arabs in Space', a rollicking comedy about Arab explorers who jet off to the cosmos to save the Middle East from disaster.

Elie followed up his success with his first feature film 'Norm of the North: Family Vacation', a collaboration with Lionsgate that wowed audiences and climbed Netflix's top 10 list.

In 2019, Elie was recognized by the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship, where he was selected as a fellow for the 6th Annual event. Fast forward to 2021, and Elie has yet another feather in his cap, having been chosen as a Notable Writer for the prestigious Outfest Screenwriting Lab.

And in 2023, Elie El Choufany ventured into new territory as a film editor with the irreverent, laugh-out-loud feature film 'Bornstars'.

...the dream continues, and the journey has only just begun.
